Preservation of Fruits and Vegetables (Basic
skill programme)--
Objective of the course - to
impart necessary knowledge & skill to the trainees in the trade so that
they are able to seek employment in the food processing industry, or become
self-employed in the field.
Trainee Entry level -
candidate who has passed class 10th examination of 10+2 system or equivalent.
Course Duration
- One year full time course.
Course Contents :-
Course covers topics like fruit beverages, canning of fruits & vegetables;
making of pickles, chutneys, sauces, etc.; spoilage in preserved fruits &
vegetable, use & handling of related equipment, containers, preservatives,
etc..

completion of the course, the trainees are expected to be able to
The workshop, developed for this course, is equipped with common equipment like Refracto meter, Hydrometer, Jelmeter, thermo-meter, vacuum gauge, pressure guage, seam checking guage, common balance, etc.
