Preservation of Fruits and Vegetables  (Basic skill programme)-- 

Objective of the course - to impart necessary knowledge & skill to the trainees in the trade so that they are able to seek employment in the food processing industry, or become self-employed in the field. 

Trainee Entry level - candidate who has passed class 10th examination of 10+2 system or equivalent. 

Course Duration -  One year full time course. 

Course Contents :- Course covers topics like fruit beverages, canning of fruits & vegetables; making of pickles, chutneys, sauces, etc.; spoilage in preserved fruits & vegetable, use & handling of related equipment, containers, preservatives, etc..

The workshop, developed for this course, is equipped with common equipment like Refracto meter, Hydrometer, Jelmeter, thermo-meter, vacuum gauge, pressure guage, seam checking guage, common balance, etc.
