Subject : Declaration of result of 67^th All India Skill Competition for Apprentices held in

the month of January, 2002 regarding.

Sir,

In Continuation of this Directorate General Letter No. DGE&T – 18013/3/99-TTC, dated 28.08.2001 indicating the schedule for holding the 67^th All India Skill Competition for Apprentices, I am to inform that the competition was held as per the schedule at Advanced Training Institutes Kolkata, Mumbai, Ludhiana and CTI for Instructors, Chennai in the trades of Draughtsman (Mechanical), Electrician, Electronics- Mechanic, Fitter, Instrument-Mechanic, Machinist, Mechanic ( Motor Vehicle), Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic, Turner and Welder from 01.01.2002 to 05.01.2002 and to declare the result thereof.

2. M/S TELCO Training Division, Pimpri, Pune-411018, Maharashtra has been declared as the Best Establishment based on the highest total marks secured (aggregating the marks obtained) by each of their apprentices who have qualified and /or stood first in all the trades they competed, in the 67^th All India Skill Competition of Apprentices.

3. A copy of the consolidated mark sheet of this competition and statement of declaration of the Best Establishment are enclosed at Annexure – III and IV respectively.

4. A trophy and certificate of Honorable mention from the President of India would be awarded to the Best Establishment mentioned above.

5. The Best Apprentices in each of the 9 out of 10 trades as mentioned at Annexure-I who stood first securing a minimum of 70 % of the maximum marks in the practical subject would be given the following awards:

i) Merit Certificate,

ii) Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only)

6. The Runners up Apprentices in each of the 8 out of 10 trades as mentioned at Annexure-II who stood SECOND securing a minimum of 70 % of the maximum marks in the practical subject would be given the following awards:

i) Merit Certificate,

ii) Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only)

The above awards will be given in due course.
