Procedure for Affiliation of Trades with NCVT & Evaluation of Apprenticeship Training Programme (AAP)

Participant Level : Asstt. AA/JAA of SDs & RDATs. Officers of State Directorates, Principal & Vice Principal, Management of Industrial/Vocational Training Institutes/Centres.
Course Objective : On completion of this course the participants will be able to perform their respective roles more effectively in the process of affiliation of trades with NCVT and Performing duties of implementation of Apprenticeship training programme under Apprenticeship act 1961 at their respective states on behalf of State Apprenticeship adviser.
Course Content : Apprenticeship Act 1961 and Apprenticeship (amendment) Act 1973, Functional requirements of Jr./Asst. Apprenticeship Advisor. Report writing, rapport and establishing rapport. Mode of conducting Survey and Problem involved in locating seats/Training facilities. Registration and breach of contracts. Follow up action and statistical returns. Inspection of ITIs/Establishment. Problem and remedial measure in implementation of App. Act. Basic training & shop floor training and related instruction classes. Marking scheme & evaluation techniques. Progressive trade test.
NCVT sub-committee for Affiliation to NCVT, function, responsibilities and constitution. Role of DGE&T/State Director for Affiliation on trades with NCVT, formation of standing committee. Affiliation procedure, terms and conditions for Affiliation to NCVT, Filling up of Annexure III. Evaluation of ITI/ITC & practical problems encountered during evaluation of ITI/ITCs.
